Interesting Facts

Airport ground support equipment depends on the 3-53N engine to haul baggage, tow planes and do whatever it takes to keep everything running on schedule. In all kinds of weather, these engines never let anyone down.

The4-Cylinder Series 53N engine is the powerhouse that drives a logging skidder. Deep in the woods, logging skidders drag fallen trees where they need to go. The 4-53N engine propels the winch hydraulics as well—making it a skilled multi-tasker. This 4-53N engine can also be found powering a backhoe at construction sites all over the world. First, hydraulic arms extend and plant the backhoe firmly in position. Then, the engine provides the muscle-power to help the backhoe break ground.

The 6V53T engine is often found under the hood of armored personnel carriers around the world. Since this vehicle hauls troops and military equipment into remote territories, breaking down is not an option.
